We speak to Gordon Dundas, a whisky industry veteran who is International Brand Ambassador for Ian Macleod Distillers, responsible for well-known (and well-aged) Glengoyne. We find out from Gordon why time and place make whisky such a special drink, and learn a little about the business of whisky. And it’s a business with (perhaps) surprising parallels to watches in terms of the importance of heritage and tradition, but also when it comes to the challenges facing the business in 2022. Certainly, both industries are increasingly global, and growing interest has led to vexing issues of supply and demand. So, settle in for a fascinating chat about the wonderful world of whisky.
