Double trouble, toil and lots of bubble. This week - instead of chatting to the great and the good of the watch world - Andy and Felix are catching up on their emails, and have two solid watch matchmakers to get off the books.

But before that, they catch up on what they've seen - Andy gets a vintage Tudor Submariner back from service and sees some hot new IWC, like the new Porty 40! Felix goes hands-on with the new Longines Heritage Classic Tuxedo and Heritage Spirit, as well as some new Panerai - he's all about the Carbotech.

The first of our two matchmakers is Charith, who's recently had a son and is looking to celebrate with a new watch. Andy shows his usual flexibility of budget while Felix gets all sentimental.

Next up is Hugh, who wants a Pepsi, but can't have one. In this battle of hearts and wrists, Felix and Andy both break the ‘no-hype pieces’ rule, but also come up with some stellar alternatives.

Watch Matchmaker for Charith:

Andy's picks:

  1. Habring2 Chrono-Felix
  2. Glashütte Original PanoMaticLunar
  3. Zenith Elite Moonphase

Felix's Picks:

  1. Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Classic Large Small Seconds
  2. Cartier Tank Américaine Large
  3. IWC for Prada GST Chronograph

Watch Matchmaker for Hugh:

Andy's picks:

  1. Vintage-ish Rolex GMT-Master II
  2. IWC Portugieser 40
  3. Grand Seiko SBGH279

Felix's Picks:

  1. Rolex Explorer
  2. Blancpain Fifty Fathoms Bathyscaphe
  3. Omega De Ville Hour Vision
